The Students from Sri Lanka Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) visited Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC) on 4 August 2025
Musanze, 4 August 2025
A delegation of senior officers, comprising 16 students and faculty members from the Sri Lanka Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), led by Commodore (Brig Gen) Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Nalinda Presad Dissanayake visited the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC). The visit was part of a study tour to Rwanda from 28 July to 08 August 2025; the purpose of their tour was to gain insights into Rwanda’s socio-economic development, the structure and operations of the Rwanda Defence Force.

Upon their arrival, the DSCSC delegation was welcomed by RDFCSC Deputy Commandant & CI Brig Gen JC Ngendahimana on behalf of the Commandant.
In his speech, he said, “On behalf of the Commandant who is outside of the College on official duties, the entire RDFCSC fraternity, and indeed on my own behalf, it is our pleasure to welcome you Commodore Sir, and your delegation to RDFCSC. I also take this opportunity to thank you for once again choosing to visit our College 7 years after your last visit in Aug 2018. This is a strong indication that your College still keeps the desire benchmark and cooperates with our own College, and gets acquainted with our programmes, what we do, and what we envisage to do, so that we both continue to benefit from sharing our experiences, knowledge, and best practices. Your visit today is even more meaningful as it takes place in the aftermath of our College visit to Sri Lanka in February this year, where our students of SCSC 13 immensely benefited from the rich programme your Defence HQ had prepared for them. These continued exchanges and partnerships are indeed very much needed to enrich our respective students’ perspectives on many issues bordering on security and strategic studies.”

The visiting delegation was briefed on the vision, mission, and organization of RDFCSC, specifically the Junior Command and Staff Course and Senior Command and Staff Course.
The delegation was offered a guided tour of the College facilities.

The visit also involved signing in the guestbook and exchanging tokens of appreciation.

The visit was concluded by a group photo.
