SENEGAL INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The RDFCSC fraternity celebrated the 66th Independence Day of the United Republic of Senegal. It was attended by students of Senior Command and Staff Course (SCSC)14, Faculty members and College staff.
The occasion was presided by the SCSC Coordinator Col Emmanuel RUKUNDO. On behalf of the Comdt and the whole college fraternity, he congratulated Maj Codé NIASSE for the 66th Independence Day of his homeland, the Republic of Senegal (that was celebrated on 4th April, but due to the fact that the date fell on a weekend, the College has observed it on 8th April 2026).
He highlighted the good friendship, partnership, and cooperation between the two sister Republic of Rwanda and Senegal, characterized by high level diplomatic exchanges, a shared vision for African Self- reliance and deep cooperation in sectors like air travel, agriculture and security where Rwanda opened its embassy in Dakar in 2011, and Senegal opened its embassy in Kigali in 2020. The relationship is marked by close collaboration on continental integration.
