SENEGAL INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The RDFCSC fraternity celebrated the 66th Independence Day of the United Republic of Senegal. It was attended by students of Senior Command and Staff Course (SCSC)14, Faculty members and College staff. 

The occasion was presided by the SCSC Coordinator Col Emmanuel RUKUNDO. On behalf of the Comdt and the whole college fraternity, he congratulated Maj Codé NIASSE for the 66th Independence Day of his homeland, the Republic of Senegal (that was celebrated on 4th April, but due to the fact that the date fell on a weekend, the College has  observed it on 8th April 2026).

He highlighted the good friendship, partnership, and cooperation between the two sister Republic of Rwanda and Senegal, characterized by high level diplomatic exchanges, a shared vision for African Self- reliance and deep cooperation in sectors like air travel, agriculture and security where Rwanda opened its embassy in Dakar in 2011, and Senegal opened its embassy in Kigali in 2020. The relationship is marked by close collaboration on continental integration.

 

This occasion was presided over by the Senior Command and Staff Course Coordinator Col Emmanuel RUKUNDO . He congratulated Senegal  for 66th  independence day

 

The student who spoke on behalf of the Senegalese fraternity at the College Maj Codé NIASSE, wished to cordially express his sincere appreciation to the RDFCSC leadership for making it possible for him to celebrate that day.

Long live Senegal, Long live Rwanda, and Long live our allies and partners.

The student who spoke on behalf of the Senegalese cordially expressed their sincere appreciation to the leadership of Rwanda and RDFCSC for making it possible to celebrate this day in Nyakinama, Musanze.
