HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
On 25th May 2026, the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff Course (RDFCSC) celebrated the 80th Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
It was attended by the RDFCSC Commandant, Deputy Commandant & Chief Instructor (CI), Heads of departments, Faculty members, Students of Senior Command and Staff Course intake 14 (SCSC 14), and College staff.
The occasion was presided by the Commandant Brig Gen Andrew NYAMVUMBA. In his remarks he said:” It is a distinct pleasure to welcome you all as we join our brother, Lt Col Anas Mohammed Alzuby, in celebrating the Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The significance of this milestone remains fresh in our minds. On behalf of the College, I extend our warmest congratulations to the people of Jordan and to you, Lt Col Lt Col Anas Mohammed Alzuby, in particular.”
He highlighted that celebrating the national days of the international students and staff is a custom the college fraternity holds essential. It allows them to honor the ideals of freedom, sovereignty, and national dignity that these milestones embody.
He added that the Jordan’s history is a masterclass in resilience. Since attaining independence in 1946, the Kingdom has served as a beacon of stability and moderation. This legacy was built on the wisdom of King Abdullah I, and continues today under the visionary leadership of the Hashemite Crown. Jordan’s story is a testament to the fact that a nation, rooted in its heritage yet looking to the future, can achieve remarkable respect on the global stage. These are lessons that resonate deeply in Rwanda where two nations enjoy a cordial relationship anchored by vital defense collaboration.”
Jordanian student Lt. Col. Anas Mohammed Alzuby stated: "It is a great honor and privilege to stand before the college fraternity as a senior officer of the Jordan Armed Forces and a participant in SCSC 14 at the RDFCSC. I am proud to mark a highly significant occasion: The Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan."
Long live Jordan, Long live Rwanda.
