RWANDA DEFENCE FORCE COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE SENIOR COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE 10 CULTURAL DAY

On 14 January 2022, the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College Course 10 celebrated its 9th Cultural Day. The College Cultural Day is a key event in the course curriculum aimed at showcasing the rich cultural diversity by participants who come from different nationalities, cultures and background.
The students of SCSC 10 displayed various facets of their respective cultures in terms of cuisine, dressing, singing and dancing. The focus for such cultural displays is to foster intercultural dynamics amongst the eleven countries represented on the course.
Eleven countries represented include Rwanda, Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
The event was presided over by the College Commandant, Brig Gen Didas NDAHIRO. The Commandant underscored that culture is a way of life that gives one identity and manifests human intellectual achievement. He stressed that Cultural Day is an occasion on which we celebrate not only our own cultural background, but also those of our colleagues. The event also provides a chance to acknowledge the unique African social tapestry woven over time i.e. diverse and homogeneous.
