RWANDA DEFENCE FORCE COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE OBSERVES BOTSWANA’S INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY
On 30 September 2024, the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College fraternity celebrated Botswana's 58th Independence Day. To commemorate the event, the College organised a reception for the entire fraternity. Students of Senior Command and Staff Course (SCSC) 13, along with faculty and staff, attended the celebration.
Botswana's Independence Day, commonly referred to as Boipuso in Setswana, is a national holiday observed on September 30 each year. This date marks Botswana's declaration of independence from the United Kingdom on 30 Septembre 1966.
The national anthem of Botswana was played.
The Motswana student, Maj Mogofu Mompoloki, addressed the gathering, expressing his honor in celebrating a significant milestone in African history with the college community.
On behalf of the entire College fraternity, the Head of Professional Courses, Col Corneille Emile Nkundimana, congratulated the student officer from Botswana and wished the people of Botswana a happy Independence Day, especially Maj Mogofu MOMPOLOKI.
