THE VISIT OF HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR OF CHINA TO RWANDA DEFENCE FORCE COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE ON 2 MAY 2024
Musanze, on 2 May 2024,
the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College had the honour of hosting His Excellency WANG Xuekun, the Ambassador of China to Rwanda. The Ambassador was accompanied by Senior Captain (Navy) LI Dayi, the Chinese Defence Attache’ and Mr. JIN Hong, the secretary of the Ambassador.
The purpose of the visit was on the sidelines of bolstering bilateral relations between China and Rwanda and to foster cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in Defence and education.
The College briefed the Chinese Delegation on the overview of the College, including courses offered and other instructional deliverables. The College emphasized the digitalized and blended learning environment, digital literacy, and leveraging the existing IT infrastructure enabling physical or virtual learning as a smart College.
The delegation was informed that the College admits students from allied countries on the African Continent and beyond. During a meeting with the faculty, the two students The Ambassador was given a comprehensive tour of the college facilities, including syndicate rooms, model rooms, computer lab, central lecture hall, and library. Special emphasis was placed on showcasing the college’s state-of-the-art technology and educational resources.
The visit was concluded with group photos, sharing tokens of appreciation, and finally signing the Visitors’ Book.
