On Monday 25 September 2023 from 0800 to 1600 Hours, students of Senior Command and Staff Course 12 accompanied by the Commandant Brig General Andrew NYAMVUMBA and Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC) and the faculty members visited 415 Brigade Tactical Headquarters in Kinigi, Musanze.

The visiting delegation was welcomed by Col Egide NDAYIZEYE, 415 Brigade Commander, who assisted by his staff officers, briefed the delegation on the tactical deployment of the Brigade.

During the visit, various Brigade Combat Support, and Combat Service Support (CSS) elements demonstrated and presented their functions, roles, and responsibilities to enable the Brigade to fulfill its mission. Emphasis was put on the support provided by CSS units within the Brigade Admin Area (BAA).

At the end of the visit, students clearly understood the tactical considerations in sitting and organizing a Bde Tactical HQ in the field and its supporting Brigade Admin Area, Furthermore, students got to understand the functions, roles, and responsibilities of various Bde HQ cells and various CSS elements within a Brigade Admin Area in support of a Brigade.

Students and faculty appreciated the effort, commitment, and cooperation offered by the 415 Bde Commander and his Staff toward the realization of the visit objective.

The various briefings and demonstrations enabled students to fully appreciate the complexities of moving and deploying a formation HQ in the field and the functions of its component cells.
