Defensive Operations Tactical exercise without troops (TEWTS) for SCSC 05
From 22 to 25 Nov 16, students of SCSC 05 conducted a Defensive Operations TEWTS nicknamed KAZA IBIRINDIRO. The four days exercise consisted of an outdoor application in the general area of BUSOGO in MUSANZE District, precisely at RUSANZE hill.
The purpose of the exercise was to practice students on the mechanisms of planning and conducting defensive operations at Bde level of command using a sand model and the actual ground.
Through KAZA IBIRINDIRO, students were able to apply the Combat Estimate as a tool for decision making. Also they were able to discuss various concepts of operations, and the employment of Support Arms in defensive operations.
Students were busy working on the exercise requirements.
