Senior Command and Staff Course (SCSC) intake 13/24 was officially opened.
On Monday 22nd July 2024, Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC) officially opened the one-year Senior Command and Staff Course, intake 13 (SCSC13). The Course has commenced with a total of 106 students, including nationals and allied officers from other countries in Africa and beyond. By the opening date, the countries represented on the course include: Botswana, Burkina Faso, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Jordan, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Nigeria Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia. However, two more students are expected to join the Course from Benin and Mozambique.
On behalf of the RDF leadership and the entire college fraternity; and in his capacity as Commandant, Brig Gen A. Nyamvumba officially welcomed allied and national student officers to RDFCSC. He congratulated them for being nominated to attend the prestigious course, which will further develop their knowledge, skills, and expertise. The Comdt also reminded the SCSC 13 Students that SCSC aimed at preparing them for higher appointments by developing their command and leadership skills, as well as by providing a broad understanding of single, joint service, combined, and inter-agency operations.
During the familiarisation week that preceded the official opening ceremony, SCSC 13 students were extensively briefed on the college instructional activities and on the logistical and administrative support.

The familiarization week also included acquaintance with the college infrastructure and facilities, and a tour of the North-Western region by Allied Students and DS. The tour included visits to Kinigi tourist areas, Brarirwa, Gas Methane, and Rubavu border posts, as well as hotels such as Amicus Hotel and Serena Hotel.
