Junior Command and Staff Course 09/16-17 Officially Started on 15 November 2016

The JCSC 09 students reported at RDFCSC Nyakinama on 12 November 2016. The course comprises 34 RDF officers in the ranks of major and captain, including 3 female officers, and 2 Rwanda National Police officers; making a total of 36.

The JCSC 09 was officially opened by the Commandant of RDF Command and Staff College, Maj Gen JB Kazura, on Tuesday 15 November 2016.
In his remarks, the Commandant welcomed and congratulated the students for having been selected to attend the course and urged them to use the opportunity to aim high in order to uphold personal pride and the institutional trust in them.
The JCSC improves the officers’ command and staff competencies by giving them prerequisite attitude, knowledge and skills at the tactical level. It also prepares them for higher military courses such as the Senior Command and Staff Course. The course will run for 17 weeks from 15 November 2016 to 17 March 2017.
