Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) intake 22/23 officially opened
On Tuesday 31st October 2023, the Deputy Commandant RDF Command and Staff College Nyakinama, Col Jean Chrysostome NGENDAHIMANA presided over the opening ceremony of the Junior Command and Staff Course 22.
Junior Command and Staff Course is one of the courses run by the Rwanda Defense Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC). This particular course that was being officially opened is the 22 of its kind and like other preceding courses, it is aimed at equipping selected officers with the ability to perform Grade 3 staff duties at the operational level and command responsibilities at the tactical level. The Junior Command and Staff Course 22 is composed of 76 student officers, with the rank of Major and Captain. The course is scheduled to run for 21 weeks from 31 October 2023 to 21 March 2024.

In his speech during the opening ceremony, the Deputy Commandant congratulated the students for having been selected to attend this course and urged them to use the opportunity to aim high to uphold personal pride and institutional trust in them. This Program serves as a bridge leading to more advanced military courses, therefore students were encouraged to always aim high to uphold personal pride and help attain organizational goals and objectives.
The Deputy Commandant expressed his sincere appreciation to the College faculty members as well as other support staff who have put much effort into preparations for the conduct of this course.
