JUNIOR COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE 18 OFFICIAL OPENING
On 2 Nov 21, Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC 18) was officially opened. The course aim is to equip selected officers with the ability to effectively perform command responsibilities at the sub unit level and staff duties at formation level, while providing the basis for further professional development. Cohort 18 is composed of 39 student officers from Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and Rwanda National Police (RNP). The course will run for 20 weeks and is expected to conclude on 25 March 2022.
The event was presided over by the Commandant of Rwanda Defence Command and Staff College, Brig Gen Didas NDAHIRO on the behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), RDF. The Commandant congratulated students for having certified nomination criteria and urged them to leverage experiences, knowledge and keep the bar high during the course and throughout their career. He underscored the criticality of IT systems in instruction but most importantly in contemporary operating environment.
