In line with the above course objective, its curriculum includes Lectures of Opportunity (LOOs) that focuses on national and international socio-political facets and how they relate to the military operating milieu both at strategic and operational levels of war.

On Friday 22 Jan 2016, 3 LOOs were scheduled and started with one from His Excellency the Ambassador of Uganda to Rwanda, Richard KABONERO on ‘The Northern Corridor Integrated Projects: A Gateway to Economic Development in the Region’. The second lecture was by the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Honorable Dr Gerardine MUKESHIMANA who delivered a lecture on ‘Achieving Food Security in Rwanda: Strategies, Opportunities and challenges’. The afternoon and last session of the day was for the Minister of Education, Hon Dr Papius MUSAFIRI who lectured on ‘TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training), a Solution to Skills Development, Youth Bulge and Unemployment’.

All the lectures were delivered comprehensively to the students of Senior Command and Staff Course 04, well researched, thought provoking and judging from the insightful answers to the questions during the interactive session, there was no doubt that the knowledge gained by the students will broaden their knowledge and understanding on all set topics of discussion.

At the end of each of the lectures, the assigned Student Introducing and Thanking (SIT) thanked the distinguished guests for their time and invited the College Commandant, Major General JB KAZURA, to offer the college plaque as a token of appreciation.
