Junior Command and Staff Course 09 Conducted a Field Training Exercise in Gabiro General Area from 5 to 12 March 2017

Students of JCSC 09 conducted the Field Training Exercise (FTX) SHAMBULIA ADUI from 5 to 12 March 2017. The Exercise took place in the general area of Gabiro, Gatsibo District in Eastern Province.
The one week long FTX SHAMBULIA ADUI was a one-sided exercise with a controlled enemy, designed to assess JCSC 09 student officers in various aspects of leadership, command, control and communication in the planning and conduct of operations of war.
FTX SHAMBULIA ADUI is a capstone exercise for JCSC and is conducted a week before the course graduation.
The exercise involves staff briefings and command orders within a Command post setting. These are closely monitored and supervised by members of College leadership and faculty.
Afterwards, students set off to implement the received orders in their various HQ and according to specific coordinating instructions.
