SOMALI CHIEF OF DEFENCE FORCES VISITED RWANDA DEFENCE FORCE COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE
On 9 October 2025, the Chief of Defence Forces of the Somali National Armed Forces (CDF-SNAF), Major General Odawa Yusuf Rage, and his delegation visited the RDF Command and Staff College in Nyakinama, Musanze District. The visit marked a significant moment in strengthening military cooperation between Somalia and Rwanda. Major General Odawa was warmly received by the Commandant of the RDF Command and Staff College, Brigadier General Andrew Nyamvumba, along with members of the College staff. The reception highlighted the cordial relations between the two nations' defence institutions. The delegation was given an overview of the RDFCSC, including its mission, training programs, and upcoming academic activities.

The interactions underscored the importance of regional collaboration in military education and capacity building. Major General Odawa expressed appreciation for the quality of training being offered to Somali officers. He commended the RDFCSC for its professionalism and commitment to excellence. During the visit, the CDF-SNAF also had the opportunity to meet and interact with Somali students who are currently conducting the course at the RDF Command and Staff College. The visit concluded with discussions on future engagements and continued partnership in defence training.
