HANDOVER AND TAKEOVER CEREMONY IN RWANDA DEFENCE FORCE COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE IN NYAKINAMA–MUSANZE
On 13th June 2026, a handover and takeover ceremony took place at RDFCSC marking the transition of the college leadership from the outgoing Commandant Brig Gen Andrew NYAMVUMBA to the incoming Commandant Brig Gen Jean Chrysostome NGENDAHIMANA.
During the ceremony, Brig Gen Andrew NYAMVUMBA expressed his appreciation to the staff members for their cooperation, commitment, and support throughout his tenure. He thanked the team for the efforts and achievements made together, while encouraging those who remain at the college to continue working closely as a team in order to sustain progress and achieve the institution’s objectives.
In his remarks, the incoming Commandant, Brig Gen Jean Chrysostome NGENDAHIMANA thanked Brig Gen Andrew NYAMVUMBA for his leadership and wished him success in his new responsibilities. He called upon the members he will be working with to maintain unity, teamwork, and dedication, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in achieving the mission and vision of the college.
The ceremony highlighted the importance of a smooth transition of leadership, continuity and commitment to excellence in fulfilling the college mission and objectives.
