Tactical Exercise without Troops (TEWTs) conducted by Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) 22
The students of Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) 22 conducted various indoor and outdoor exercises from 4 to 24 January 2024. These included Defence Tactical Exercise without Troops (TEWT) code named RINDA INKIKO was conducted in BUSOGO gen area from 4 to 10 January 2024. The Ex focused on enabling students to practice the planning process and conduct defensive operations on actual grnd at Bde level of Comd. and Offensive Operations TEWT nicknamed NESHA UMWANZI was conducted in KANZENZE gen area, from 18 to 24 January 2024. The Ex was set at Bde level, where students practiced as Bde Gp Comds & Staff. Therefore, the Ex focused on exercising students in the planning & conduct of Off Ops in a manoeuvrist approach setting using CE at Bde Gp level
The purpose of the RINDA INKIKO exercise was to provide students with practical experience in planning and executing defensive operations at the Bde level of command. On the other hand, the primary objective of the NESHA UMWANZI exercise was to conduct a Combat Estimate in Offensive Operations.
After the Ex, there was a debriefing session. The DS sponsor gave a Debrief to the JCSC 22 students,
