Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) intake 20/22-23 opened.

JCSC is a five months command and staff course conducted in RDFCSC with the aim of equipping the course students with the ability to perform command responsibilities at tactical level and a Grade 3 Staff duties at operational level effectively. The JCSC intake 20 comprised of 36 RDF officers in the ranks of majors and captains, including 2 female officers, and 2 Rwanda National Police officers: making a total of 38 students.
On Tuesday 1 November 2022, the course was officially opened by the RDF Command and Staff College Deputy Commandant, Col JC Ngendahimana who welcomed students and congratulated them for having been selected to attend the course and urged them to use the opportunity to aim high in order to uphold personal pride and the institutional trust in them. The ceremony was attended by the Directing Staff and the students.
The official course opening was preceded by two weeks-long training program in International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL), that took place at RDFCSC Nyakinama with 37 student officers of JCSC 20 and 6 College members, in the period started on 17th October and ended on 28th October 2022.
The ICDL training aimed at participants to proficiently use computer devices and applications to improve productivity in their usual activities. The ICDL training package includes six basic and intermediate modules that each participant must pass to get certified where the pass mark for each module is 75%. Those modules include Computer and Online essentials, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Online Collaboration and Cyber security.
