TRAINING EXERCISES WITHOUT TROOPS, 14 to 21 November 2014
Term Two in the Rwanda Defence Forces Command and Staff College Curriculum is an intense exercise period at the Tactical Level.
This period subjects students both individually and collectively, to hands-on rigorous exercises in the planning and conduct of military operations. It is during this period that operations of war including shaping, sustaining, and decisive are exercised at the tactical level.
Senior Command and Staff Course 3, has therefore been involved in the planning and conduct of a Tactical Exercise without Troops (TEWTS) on Defence as the initial operation of war from 14 to 21 November 2014.
While most of the planning was initially in-door individual plans were tested and discussed in the field to validate their feasibility to integrate tactical lessons learned, in the course of the proceeding exercises as they evolve through the other operations of war at this level.
